And it all goes to pot.

Today began with a hack. It wasn't windy, wasn't raining, perfect right? Wrong!

The hack started well, we kept to the roads but had a few momentary spooks at cars going through puddles and some men fixing a fence by the roadside. After 40 mins we turned for hom but Kyra was so on her toes I didn't want to end the hack like this so we returned to her field, did some hard trot work for 20 mins then headed out again in a different direction.
Kyra was fine, long reins, head low and shuffling along. After 15 mins up the toad Kyras head shot upwards and she took a huge sniff in and huffed out loudly. I saw nothing so i pushed her on, she continued but much more wary. I noticed that the horses we usually pass were in a field beside the road, rather than their usual feild at the back. They galloped toward us and Kyra froze in fear. After a few mins she walked on and near enough forgot about then again. We turned around, but unfortunatly had to pass the horses again and heres where she lost it. Her tail arched up, she began huffing and passage-ing and would not go forward. The cars weren't slowing down below 30 so i got off her and made her walk beside me, she continued her filthy display of fertility all the way home whilst i wrestled her away from the passing cars. Needless to say i was mad! I swore at her the whole way home.
I hope to get her past these horses again but at a less busy time as there were double decker busses, vans, cars and cyclists and nearly all were wizzing by far too fast. She is in season but after 2 years of ownership i've never seen her react like this to anything!
When we finally returned to the field i took off her tack and she bolted around like a loon. Stupid horse!
